Work in progress...

07/04/1999: BeDeamon 1.50 is progress...

Even though it's time for vacations, BeDeamon is going on... :)

Here are what's new:
• New BeSkin format to customize *everything* using a complete BeSkin editor! Here is a sample snapshot :

The Skin builder will be released very soon.
• Many memory optimizations.
• A funny Auto-Hide option.
• ... and more ...

05/06/1999: Linux & BeOS ports of BeDeamon.

Why porting BeDeamon? I think Linux & BeOS represent great alternatives to the "Big brother" system: Windows.
Fast and robust (are you dreaming? :) both those systems enjoy more users day after day, mainly because of the endless growing logitheque. Lot of softwares are freeware or shareware, often at ridiculous prices (less than $50!).

Some big hardware companies (Like DELL) already provide their machines with Linux or BeOS. Beside, some big software companies are porting their lead-applications to those systems (Borland, Oracle, Corel,...).

It's time for BeDeamon to join the party!

For those who are wondering if BeDeamon will be released unded the GPL license, the answer is no. However, ports of libraries used for BeDeamon will be free :)

BeDeamon to become the ultimate control center?

I think -- and lots of people too (I guess) -- that BeDeamon becomes one of the most powerful toolbar. Not only a simple toolbar, version after version, BeDeamon is turning into a real control center software. All that for just one MByte :)

Now, what is missing? more flexibility and extensibility. That means: Plug-ins

Aside from the BeDeamon next version, I'm preparing the basis of plug-ins implementation as securised external DLL (even if I don't like DLL files :). From now, any programer interesting in developping plug-ins, or having pieces of software ready to be implemented as external libraries can contact me here.
